The Evo PhonoDAC is an ingenious product: it combines an analog-to-digital converter, a digital-to-analog converter, and the functions of a phono preamplifier in a single, small package.
It is equipped with an analog input whose input impedance can be varied to best match any cartridge, but capable of accepting high-level sources as well. It is also equipped with a multifunction input capable of accepting an S/PDIF digital audio signal or a high-performance external clock such as the Evo Clock Two.
Phono decoding (if enabled) takes place in the digital domain and allows a choice of nearly 30 different curves, much to the delight of original edition record enthusiasts who own pressings that predate the adoption of the RIAA standard.
The display and remote control make it easy and intuitive to use.
