The Classic Integrated Amplifier is a stereophonic integrated amplifier designed to form the heart of a Hi-Fi system. Just add a source and a pair of acoustic speakers.
It accepts four high-level sources, such as DAC, CD player, tuner, recorder, and TV, one of which has a balanced connection, plus a turntable. The input for the turntable accepts both MM and MC cartridges and, if not used, can be turned into another high-level input simply by flipping a switch on the rear panel.
It drives a pair of acoustic speakers and a stereo headphone. In addition, it has a preamplified output to drive an active subwoofer, or for a power amp that is more powerful than the internal one, or even to associate the internal amp with a second power amp to implement passive biamping of the speakers.
It is equipped with an infrared remote control and a WiFi interface through which it can be controlled from any smartphone thanks to the free app provided by M2Tech in the Apple Store and Google Play.
The Classic Integrated Amplifier is designed for music. Its power circuit is structured to go along with the dynamic behavior of the musical program, consisting of a succession of short impulsive peaks interspersed with longer low-mid level interludes. Think of a drum kit or singing. Therefore, for a continuous power output of 60Wrms per channel into 8 Ohms and 100Wrms per channel into 4 Ohms, the Classic Integrated Amplifier can deliver a dynamic power output of as much as 155Wrms per channel into 8 Ohms and up to 240Wrms per channel into 4 Ohms! Simply put, the Classic Integrated Amplifier costs, consumes and heats like a 50W amplifier but sounds like a 150W one. Not bad, right?
The Classic Integrated Amplifier is assembled with great care by hand in Italy, because at M2Tech we believe strongly in the added value of expert craftsmanship that gives quality to the product and dignity to the worker. It is made using only through-hole mounted components. They offer a greater variety of choices than surface-mount components. This allowed us to choose the most suitable components at the design stage according to sound and power handling, because we wanted to make a well-sounding and durable product-an investment for life.
The Classic Integrated Amplifier is an ethical and environmentally friendly product. Its mechanical components are made in Italy while complying with European environmental regulations. Its power supply allows optimal use of the energy stored in it; its standby circuit consumes just over a tenth of a watt. In deference to the repairability index regulations recently issued by the European Union, the Classic Integrated Amplifier uses only readily available and replaceable components in the unlikely event of a failure, guaranteeing long-term use.
